History
The company was started in Kolkata in 1982 by the Late Mr. Pannalal Poddar. He started with trading in textile fabrics within India, which then expanded to Bangladesh. As the business grew, offices were set up in Mumbai, Dhaka, and Shaoxing. From traders, we progressed to manufacturers of fabrics in 1992 with our first fabric processing unit in Mumbai. In 2000, we completed our vertical by opening our first stitching unit in Mumbai.
Our focus shifted from the domestic market to being a complete export-oriented company. Today we are exporting 5 million meters of fabric and 3 million pieces of garments yearly, to customers across 18 countries. Our achievements have earned us several awards for export by The Government of India.
With our Headoffice and Showroom now in Mumbai, the commercial and fashion capital of India, we’re at the forefront of all innovations and trends in the fashion sector.
In Dhaka, we reflect our presence with complete Merchandising, Quality, Sampling, and Sourcing teams. Our set-up here is designed to bring you the exclusive advantages of both worlds.
With stitching units in India and Bangladesh and a fabric sourcing office in China, we have established our footprint in the Fast Fashion Industry and are able to complete orders within 8-12 weeks. This also enables us to provide our customers with competitive pricing and flexibility in styles, quantities, fabrics, deliveries, and a hedge against geopolitical factors.
A thorough understanding of the technical aspects in product manufacturing enables us to optimize cutting and sewing operation, quality control procedures following AQL 1.0 to 2.5. We control the process starting from product development throughout the production stage including printing, dyeing, washing, embroidery, and any other. We are committed to providing our customers with quality products manufactured in a clean and hygienic environment and in accordance with all applicable legislation of the state/country of manufacture following industry best practices.
